i thought about writing a bit about how i usually miss these events and then feel bad about not going, and, and, and… no one cares… but the agadir block party by the dolores crew (probably the most important thing that happened to the israeli skateboarding scene in the past few years) is really simple.
skateboarding, hip hop, live shows, burgers and beers. a great way to start a holiday!

haPussy Shel Lucy (lucy’s pussy) is no doubt one the most influential and important bands to come out of the Israeli punkrock scene. but their story and their history isn’t important for this post (as interesting as it may be, and it really is) but what’s important is that their new album kicks ass! you can hear it here, and their show a couple of nights ago was so good, musically, the vibes, the crowd, the guests, everything was perfect.
time to join the revolution!

Crunch 22 ‘s second album is a wild adventure dedicated to Lewis Carol’s timeless classic Alice in Wonderland… The trio takes you on a psychedelic journey throughout the album and tomorrow they’re gonna make that journey live in tel aviv.
A bit before the album came out, they decided it’s time to refresh their band photos, so we went for a “walk”
the album, with amazing artwork by Jack TML is availble through the band’s website on vinyl, cd, or mp3
One day Ira and I talked about shooting something in the studio, I don’t remember what it was and we didn’t even go through with it, we have these conversations once in a while, when Ira, being the successful fashion blogger that she is, wants to do something more interesting than shooting with her phone, like we did one time with Tommy Hilfiger.
Then, out of the blue, she asked “Hey! you want to shoot my wedding?” I was shocked, I didn’t even know she was engaged, and the funny thing about her wedding is that so much theatrical drama was planned for wedding, and Ira knew exactly what she wanted, so there was no drama-drama around the wedding.
B: we can also do a preshoot before the day of wedding, something stylish, that would be fun, right?
I: Perfect! let’s go to Jerusalem!
B: Seriously? I meant, like chill, at home, in your natural surrounding, relaxed.
I: Yeah, but I thought full hair and makeup, all the dresses in a stunning location.
I: Mamilla will be perfect!
so we went to Jerusalem.
The wedding itself was in Alma in Even Yehuda, with lots of live music, good food, fine wine and lots and lots of flowers, Just like Ira wanted it.

When Ortega called me to say he’s working on a new album I was excited, I knew he’s cooking up something serious. When we first started working together he was a new player in, a local rap prodigy, now he’s one of the leading rappers in the game, and in the past ten years he’s been everywhere, on every small and big stage in the country, shows abroad, television, radio, solo performances and collaborations with the biggest names in the underground as well as mainstream musicians.
this weekend he’s celebrating the release of his new album with guests in a killer show that I’m personally very excited about

Neta and Gilad were probably one of more vibrant, cheerful, and loving couples we had the opportunity to shoot. Half-full kind of people. Getting ready for the wedding, they kept me in the loop of Gilad’s mother’s medical condition that wasn’t good and how it may change the time and location of the wedding. At the end they decided to have their wedding at Alenby Ranch and his mom could not attend, she was with them in their hearts and via Skype. Not long after the wedding, she passed away, and I can’t remember meeting a happier and prouder mother on a wedding day as Rivka was that afternoon.
